How can I get an Explorer II clasp?

I don't use the divers extension on my Sub, and would like something smaller like the clasp on the exp II.

My AD says no can do. Is there anywhere/way to buy one?

Thanks.

Some times I wonder this myself.

If you don't need it, the Sub clasp is big and bulky and not nearly as comfortable as either the GMT or EXP clasps.. All of the bracelets with SEL's on these models will interchange, but it doesn't make much sense to buy an EXP just to get the clasp..

Personally, I wish I knew somebody who could get me either the SS Daytona clasp, or the GMT IIc clasp to put on my Sub. A bit of a brush with a Scotchbrite pad and it would be killer.

I am afraid that is the route you will have to take.... either that, or take the clasp off an EXP or GMT, then take that watch in to the AD and have them replace the "missing" clasp..

Here's a question that has probably been answered, but I'll ask again:
Can a 116713 bracelet be fitted to a 16613 case? If/when I ever have to replace mine, I'd love to use the updated version.

Last time I asked for a Sub clasp unit with the flip lock they quoted me close to 450 dollars. I have a feeling that the GMT clasp or Explorer will be more, I will find out and let you know all.

We had a member here last year who was interchanging his SS GMTIIc bracelet with his TT sub just to break up the monotony.... (or maybe it was the other way around...)

I do want one. My AD is adamant that they can not be obtained in the US. Tell me how to proceed.

I completely agree Larry that the Explorer II or GMT II bracelets are so much more comfortable than the Sub/SD. It would be a nice option to be able to purchase a new sub with the Explorer II bracelet. I seriously consider buying a Sub LV but after wearing a GMT II for some time, it's hard for me to go back to the sub bracelet. It's all about comfort for me, and now my sub is reduced to a paper weight in my drawer.

I'll trade you a beautiful crystal paperweight for yours!
