Selling watch via Deutsche Post

Hi
I'm interested in purchasing a Rolex from a seller located in Germany, I'm currently in Ireland.

The seller has informed me that Deutsche Post provide a service whereby I can inspect the watch upon delivery prior to payment being received by the seller. I have absolutely no experience of this type of transaction and wonder if anyone here on the forum has used it before.

Thanks.

That kind of service does not exist.
Be careful, someone is trying to scam you.

Why don‘t you offer to take a plane and check the watch in person.
Pretty sure that you‘ll hear lots of excuses why that can‘t happen

Actually DHL is part of Deutsche Post, but that doesn't mean it isn't a scam.

I have used it several times. Not for watch purchases but for some beautiful ceramics that I had shipped from Europe. Service is 'top notch". No issues.
