Although I love the BBR, I believe the king is dead. Long live the king!!! For understandable reasons, the relative scarcity and Sub black bezel tie in of the BBN, it is very desirable. The Red was my first love but it's become too common.

Even with lost feelings for the BBR, I still own it.

Subjective on who is king , but for me adding the date & red line gives it the edge over other BB models .

No no no. The King is the Black Bay Bronze Blue Bucherer Edition! And that is a totally objective, unbiased fact! ;-)

BBN ETA is the king in imho....(for people who can own the timepiece)

However I think the one "true" king to rule them all is the 2015 One Watch Only Black Bay. King because it's the only one in existence and certainly the most expensive BB at 375,000 CHF

It’s a gorgeous watch and I love it. It’s on my purchase list - the steel bezel looks like ghosted aluminium bezel on a vintage Sub. Pure tool watch aesthetic.

But a king must be crowned with gold -

I was looking at the BB Red bezel but my Tudor AD steered me to the BBB with Rose and the ETA movement. He commented on the short production run of less than a year. "A future classic" were his words.
All the Black Bays are great, but this one is King.

If we're stepping outside the BB-series...and bringing Rolex into the fold, by that logic shouldn't the SD43 rule over the Sub and shouldn't the DeepSea (probably d-Blue) rule them ALL?

Nah- they dont look the same. I feel like the black bay is very very similar to the black bay. The deep sea is to different.

Anyway I was just playing. I like the black bay red and bronze
