how do you normally clean your stainless steel watch

Very happy with Veraet, usually mist the watch with Veraet, wash under warm light water then dry with one of their cloths. Nothing has made my APs sparkle like this.

+1 on WristClean (Veraet) - had a go at my Speedmaster, GMT2c and Nomos yesterday for the first time and all now shining like never before. Agree on getting the set they offer, comes with the spray, microfiber and cleaning cloth, as well as brush, leather and rubber strap creams. Tried the leather strap cream too - looks great and not leaving any greasy residue etc.

What I do: Always rinse the watch (car, glasses) in water first to remove any dust or grime. If you rub anything before this step it can scratch! Use a little Dawn dish liquid. Window washers use it because it doesn't streak. I just squirt a little in my hand and cover the watch. I then rinse throughly and dry with a clean microfiber. Very fast and easy. I clean my watch every time I wear it.

Yes, for 'everyday' type cleaning, I also use Dawn and a toothbrush with excellent results.

I'm going to try the "Wristclean" kit too. Judging from the posted pix, it's a winner.

Just for the record: if Cape Cod polishing cloths remove a small amount of metal, I can live with it. I only use the CC twice a year so the removal of a few microns of metal is negligible to me. And really, any and *every* type of polishing involves removing some amount of surface material. To be aware of metal deterioration is a good thing but to worry about stuff like that is not my style.

The Cape Cods have worked well for me for years, I strongly endorse them.
