Rolex 16800
Ok. I am a lover of Rolex Submariners. I haven't posted here in the watch out section for awhile. This was brought up to my attention from someone who wanted to buy it and asked my opinion. I have never seen a 16800 dial like this. I have the Rolex Submariner Story book and just personal learning. I know that Rolex has the SWISS replacement dials but they don't look like this. What is everyones opinion? The guy has a 99.9% feedback. Is this a real dial or what I am thinking, it is a dial that has been repainted.

The dial looks redone or something. It is not a 16800 dial. Am I wrong? I just don't know what to message the guy selling it.

Evening R, good eye! The extended description states that the dial is aftermarket.

If it's a aftermarket dial then is it priced right? Pay $4500 and add a proper dial or offer $4000???

100% agree.
However, I dont personally report as seller clearly states it, and there are far more and worse items to report. But that is just me. Seller is honest adam

The audacity of the seller to call a watch with a counterfeit dial "certified" really rubs me the wrong way. Clearly an attempt to fleece noob buyers. This is exactly what the "authenticity disclaimer" option is for imho

On everything BUT the dial he writes ROLEX while the dial he does not mention Rolex, but just "after market" I am not saying it does not contravene trade mark laws, but I do not think seller is in any way being dishonest or trying to "dupe" anyone Thats just my opinion adam

"Certified" is right there on the images. It's also a bit misleading to call something "aftermarket" if it has a brand name falsely written on it. That's straight counterfeit. I disagree that he's "in no way being dishonest," but I see your point. Seems to me they're actively attempting to be as dishonest as they can get away with.
