I notice you’re in Glasgow, what AD are you using?
Laings in the Arcade. That's where I tried it on for the first time and there been excellent. Watches of Switzerland weren't very enthusiastic when I called them and the place in Newton Mearns had closed their waiting list.

I’ve bought from Laings in the past and they’re very nice to deal with. I think ADs are fed up with the SS Sports situation too if I’m honest.

I hear they’re getting dozens (no exaggeration) of calls on Daytona and the Top steel models etc every single day.

As far as the Tag, you might as well hang on to it, as it won't bring much resale value, unfortunately. I have a few old watches like that...I don't wear them anymore but just nice to have around for the sentiment if nothing else.
I paid £1,200 two years ago so ibdont envisage getting over £1,000 for it which makes it an easier choice. It is Siena service which i think is going to cost more than I'm willing to pay though.

The only sports they have is a Pepsi, which has been there for years, and a two tone GMT.

The other impact of the lack of sports models is that nothing really stands out in their displays because at a glance it's very hard to tell the difference between the many many DJ, OP and DDs.

Congratulations. I would hope your dealer gives you a free link or two. But maybe not since they made you pay in full for the deposit. As for the tag, keep it. Sounds like it means more to you than it will mean on the open market.

I got my BLNR in there shortly after release and it has been on my wrist almost every day since, despite having a few other choices. It is simply amazing. I even got a free service thrown in.

I can’t believe they asked you to pay in full, crazy!

They didn't - I was actually expecting a longer wait and just wanted to get it out the way. If I'd simply paid the deposit I could imagine myself deliberating over it until the phone call. This way it's paid, I can forget about it and simply look forward to when I'm number 1 on the list.
