Help me identify this one.

I am looking for a little help identifying this Omega reference for a friend.

His father bought it new and gave it to him several years ago.

My Omega knowledge is extremely limited so I told him I would post it and see what we might learn from the community.

Love to know:

Model name
Reference number
Approx year made
Does it all look original
Any interesting back-stories to this reference
Where can i Point him to learn more (website, book, etc)
Other

He only sent me one pic and said there were no reference numbers on the back of the case. But I can get more if that would be helpful.
