SD43 for me. I'm my opinion it's a wonderful release. I love the redline nod to it's history. I love the fully graduated bezel with a bow to the Milsub. Fantastic band improvements, new Calibre 3235. The proportions look perfect to me for a watch of this size.

The anniversary Sub has the pretty green bezel but loses points for having a date. A cleaner dial Sub feels more true to it's roots.

SD43 is top notch watch but too heavy (195grs) as SDDS.
I have tried OP114300 and look like perfect watch regarding the weight(130grs).
More then 160 grs is truely not that comfortable to wear especially in tropical country and despite it is a Rolex !

To me all 16610LVs are 50th anv sub, Rolex changed their fonts from time to time and it doesn't make your 16610LV any less beautiful...These 16610LV are all discounted so get a later dial version as they're likely to be in better condition and cost less.

I'd get both as they're all 50th anv watches.

I think you'll already know where I would be on this, the LV. I like the proportions better. I do like the red on the SD, so maybe I just need to look for a red Sub! I still kick myself for not picking up a 1680 red sub in cherry condition a few years ago...

Should-a, would-a, could-a, Martin! :)

But at least you picked up a nice 16710 when you did considering how those have trended just this year!

I have both, and a 50th Anniversary GMT II-C. I prefer the LV, I don’t really care for the PCL’s on the GMT so it sits in the safe. The SD43 comes out on the weekends. Bigger, more of a big tool vs. a daily tool. I do like both but they are different altogether.

I suppose it depends on the day's itinerary. If I were diving more than 300m then I'd have to go with the SD43😀

No disrespect to the LV which is a great watch in it's own but the SD is the perfect SS daily watch in my opinion.
My thoughts exactly.

Finish reading. All I want to comment is,

It is a LV. It's not the 50th as it's not a flat-4 insert.

Just kidding. Congrats.

I'd go with the SD because of all the modernization. The only problem personally is it might be over sized for my wrist leaving me no choice but the green meanie.

My choice is the SD43 because I prefer the size, the colour and the modern additions (3235 movement, ceramic, full links on bracelt) and it's a more advanced diver than a Sub.

SD50 because it's a perfect evolution of the SD with a new movement and case at the right size. There is literally nothing to complain about.

Original LV is just refresh of an existing watch with maxi dial and a green insert. Everything else was the same vs a LN. I got rid of it even though it was nice. I did like swapping bezels though.

I agree with this and like the colour contrast too. Photos, though, are no real way to gain an appreciation. It may all be a different story on your wrist!
