OK, yes definitely wear whatever you want. Many of us think it matters how we present ourselves to the world and that needs to be considered along side this quest for comfort.

Some of us are simply saying that we wouldn't select gym shorts unless we are going to a gym. The OP is clearly giving a great deal of thought to selecting, buying a wearing a very tasteful watch. Some of us are just puzzled why the same process wouldn't lead a man to buy and wear some actual street clothes or at least more of a golf shorts level of style to work. Any place that sells "gym" shorts will sell golf or hiking shorts...it's not that hard. I get that there is no customer contact, but I presume there are other members of earthly society around the place.

I remember a comedian's bit saying he saw a guy in the streets, naked from the waist down shaving his pubic hair by an open hydrant in January with no one noticing him. At that moment, he wasn't as self conscious that his shirt was off white.

Think Brad should ask his coworkers, not a random bunch that don't have to look at his legs:-)

Same here, went to post a letter a few minutes ago wearing my fave old t-shirt with a hole in it, drives everyone mad, but I love it.

I mostly wear golf shorts or jeans, tee shirts and flip flops or slippers in my office (financial services). I dont think a TT sub would be out of place. Only watch I dont wear with that attire is my AP RG skeleton. That's reserved for the rare occasion I wear a suit

Man and I thought I was being progressive when I decided to not wear ties anymore

You my friend have reached true enlightenment!

That being said, wear whatever you want because really ANY watch with gym shorts just doesn't work right.

Do what you want. Who cares what people think? I'm buying a 2 tone GMT master ceramic and I plan on wearing it with shorts all summer. Possibly with gym shorts too.

Seriously man who cares - we sound like we are in a mommy's club.

I just went out for lunch in my gym clothes wearing my 116613LB no-one seriously gives a toss. Do what you want.

I wear a DD40 with shorts and a tshirt ALL the time. Why? Because I can and I can afford these watches so who is anyone to judge.

I like the attitude of the OP, he works where he does not deal with the public, just him and his computer, nice shorts and his Rolex TT to enjoy it, the OP which has had the capacity at 27 years of buying it for himself. Is great!!. It will look fabulous !!!! Do it!

Different strokes for different folks. That is what makes the world go round.

However, you did ask for opinions.

And for those saying wear what you want, this is just a basic truism. But not relevant to the OP. Because, if the OP was going to wear what they wanted with no consideration to good taste, they would not have made the post.

For example, you could you also ask whether you should wear black wingtip shoes with black socks with gym shorts?

If the test is wear what you want, the answer is "sure." But if the question is one of basic taste. No.

And my bottom line is this. Even if I were a young man/woman, and even if I was in a relaxed environment with no dress code . . . .

YOU

COULD

NOT

PAY

ME

ENOUGH

MONEY

to wear a 2 tone or anything else besides a quiet SS model with gym shorts to a work environment.

If Rolex broke the tag codes by placing gold, platinum and even diamonds on a SPORTS watch, why can not you use a Rolex Sports Watch with shorts? Now a cellini is another story, but a Sub is a sports watch. And the one who gave him gold was Rolex, not us

I think with a nato you can wear gym shorts. I wear my 14060m to the gym but that's an SS watch.
