submariner 16613T

Hi peeps, just keeping you all busy :D I am looking at a submariner 16613T and just wondered what everyone’s thoughts where.... here is some info on the watch.......

Two-Tone ROLEX Submariner Date

Model - 16613T

SUPERB Condition!!!

Welcome to this listing for my two-tone Rolex Submariner 16613T.

A 2002 (‘Y’ serial), this watch was first retailed by GOLDSMITHS JEWELLERS in February 2004.

The ‘T’ stands for Transitional and is a reference that only ran for a short period when Rolex first introduced ‘NO LUG HOLES’.

Like all 'Submariners', it features the 3135 caliber and is COSC CERTIFIED for keeping SUPERBLY ACCURATE time.

It also features the 93253 BI-METAL OYSTER bracelet with trademark 18k GOLD links, 18k GOLD THROUGH CLASP and divers wet suit link.

From factory, these bracelets have 9 links + 1 Flat link on the ‘12’ side and 4.5 links on the ‘6’ side. This is a full bracelet and has absolutely NO STRETCH!!!

Lots of people unknowingly buy an incomplete watch and with missing links costing £150+, it can be an expensive oversight.

This watch however is COMPLETE and in EXCELLENT CONDITION meaning no scratches or blemishes. Case edges and links are equally IMPRESSIVE and are sharp and crisp.

The watch also has FULLY DOCUMENTED OWNERSHIP and SERVICE HISTORY and comes complete with every single item it came with when new.

Features:

Stainless Steel & Yellow Gold
Gold Edged Engine Turned Bezel
Solid End Links
40mm Stainless Steel Case
Full Oyster Bracelet
Divers Extension
Gold Crown
Flip Lock Clasp
Aluminium Bezel Insert
Date Function
Sapphire Crystal

Contents:

· 1 x Rolex Submariner Date, Model 16613T

· 2 x Rolex Oyster Bracelet Links

· 1 x Rolex Oyster Outer Box

· 1 x Rolex Leather Inner Box (Ref: 64.00.01)

· 1 x Rolex Oyster 300M Anchor

· 1 x Rolex Watch Certificate

· 1 x Rolex Leather Certificate Wallet

· 1 x Rolex Red Hang ‘Certified Chronometer’ Tag

· 1 x Rolex Leather Document Wallet

· 2 x Rolex Service Cards (Apr 08/Sep 12)

· 1 x Rolex Submariner Booklet (Like NEW)

· 1 x Rolex COSC Booklet (Like NEW)

· 1 x Rolex Oyster Booklet (Like NEW)

· 1 x Rolex 2004/5 Calendar (Like NEW & Matching Retail Year)

I feel this is the one for me I have been looking at Daytona’s and DD presidents. But for my budget none come as complete and as perfect as this Sub... could you guys point out any bad points? Ie is the bi-metal less or more desirable? Thanks guys I would post pictures but I don’t know how to

It sounds good...but (unless I missed it) I don't see a price and there are no photos. So, there's not really much we can tell you without that information.

I will say, however, in regards to pricing, the main concern I have is with 5 digit examples running up into 6 digit territory. And I would much prefer the 6 digit version.

Hi price is £7,150 and is willing to negotiate... when I try to add photos it says enter URL? Is there anyway around it? And what’s the main difference between the 5-6 digit? Thank you for your reply :)

Hi yeah I think it really makes it sparkle, personally I feel it a nice touch. I think it makes a daily watch compatible with evening wear also. So good during the day and nice when going for a nice meal :)

Sorry I was worried that adding the price might get me into trouble with the forum owners thinking I’m trying to get a valuation. I’m glad I can because now you guys can help me more. Do you know how I can add pictures? It’s asking for a URL. Thank you

Way too high!!

That is 6 digit used pricing pretty much. And yes with the 6 digit you will get the maxi case, ceramic insert, glide lock and maybe some warranty left.

I would not consider that watch at that price.

Congratulations on finding the watch you want..

The T doesn't mean "Transitional", it is simply a marking (French abbreviation for Trou Borgne or blind hole), and is on all cases that went from pierced to solid lugs so you don't put the wrong end-links on it..

Thank you for your kind words and even more for sharing your knowledge... I think from what my gut is telling me that this is over priced :( I may just keep saving until I have enough for something special :-/ stuck in limbo on what to do. I love the watch and it’s mint but I’m not going to pay out my backside for it, I’m wanting to walk away knowing I’ve got a good deal not paid a little too much for it.

I just did the conversion and it's more than $9,700 USD. I also agree that this is WAY too high. I've seen 116613LB's in the $10k range. I would think you could find a 16613LB full set for about $8,000 USD.

It does have more flash than my 16710 or 214270, but it's certainly a beauty! Keep searching for the right one.

The range would be from 8-8.5K depending on condition and also make sure it is SEL and not in the transition year.

Prices are up on these from a year or so ago.

If you cannot find one in that range then I would opt for the ceramic.

Wow that really looks special, I’m going to wait and keep my eyes open for the right deal. Will look into the 16613LB, all these abbreviations I will pick up on lol. Google is my best friend when I see these lol

Awesome! Thank you, that’s really helped I shall look for one with SEL. I think this one was in the transitional year. Is that a bad thing? From your price range that’s £6,000 - £6,300 ‘approx’ so it’s a good £1,000 overpriced. You have potentially saved me a great deal. For that I am extremely grateful. Thank you

There is nothing wrong with the transitional year other than the non solid endlinks. Many people see the gold through the clasp and assume it is SEL but it isn’t always the case. The SEL just feel a little sturdier.

No problem at all! I know prices at the moment are high but that particular deal seems to be 1k over priced in my opinion.

I wish you tremendous success in getting the exact piece you want for a great price!!!

I think that the current prices of the 5 digits are only worth it for a collector, I can not make the idea to pay almost the same as a new Rolex for one that has 10 or 20 years of wear and use. It is only logical in the realm of the collection, if it is for my use I go for a modern Rolex that has the advances in bezel and strap that are wonderful.
