Kangaroos on Sydney streets?

We used to think it funny that foreigners unfamiliar with Australia thought we had Kangaroos hopping down our main streets. Seems they were'nt so far off the mark.

Here's a Wallaby crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge... let the comments begin...

- I wonder what the toll is for 'roos?
- keeps his change in his pouch
- he "skipped the toll"

I'll bet they had a heck of a time actually catching it!

Was kangaroo boxing ever really a thing? Those things are pretty badass! I’d feel bad for anyone in the ring with a kangaroo.

so "Why did the Roo cross the harbour?"

Nah rellos overseas used to think we could keep roos, kookaburras & koalas as pets in our backyard... then they visited & realised how big, noisy & smelly these native wildlife are... make lousy pets

They do "box" in nature but it's often just the males jostling. With arms like T-Rex they can't pack much of a thrust or cut; all their muscle is in the tail & legs.

Afaik they're not naturally aggressive most of em. Find them a lot laying about the golf courses, they don't even bother getting up when you pass... or even when searching for your ball amongst their crowd. But they stink & lotsa blowflies... I'd just call it lost

I definitely saw ones that didn't make it across the street on Kangaroo Island when I was there last month. Plus live ones, of course.

Beautiful place. I stayed at Southern Ocean Lodge and the service was exceptional.

He has the longest commute from the Outback to the City of Everyone in his office. The police escort save some valuable time though.
