I like things that look good, feel good, and are made to last. That pretty much goes for everything I purchase. If I’m going to spend my money I’m going to do my best to get the best my money will buy.

I'm the same. Some people laugh at my shoes and my watches. Some people think I'm crazy because of my Clive Christian fragrance collection. Others think I'm insane for buying Brioni, and having the cars I have in my "stable" I'm told that I'm a snob, stuck up, arrogant, out of touch, a show off.

I'm neither of these things. Like you, I enjoy things that look good and feel good. I want things that will last. I spend my money on the things I want to spend my money on. I choose to spend my money on things which are comfortable and will last a long time. I don't finance anything, and nobody gives me anything, so I'll spend my money the way I see fit. I want only the very best, and I'm prepared to pay for it.

If you buy them in the US, they will be Lattanzi. Lattanzi makes them for Brioni USA. I don't know who makes them for Rome or Milan

Just got the two pair in the middle.

The maroon ones are so great, and had broken in so well, I wanted to get a second pair just in case of emergency. The great sales guy explained I could have them refinished when they get too beat up. But I was wary about wearing them daily as I have been.

So he suggested the black ones. Same boot, just black. And they were $100 off on sale.

The ones not yet laced I just couldn’t pass up. Super comfortable and a different style, but a similar look. I just really like the styling. The tan ones are 100% waterproof and total workboots.

I think I’m covered for a very long time. Every occasion has a proper boot to be worn to. Can’t wait till the black ones break in. They are going to look super.

Shoe trees in all of them.

Congrats! Trees are essential to keeping shoes/boots in good shape. By not wearing the same pair twice in a row and using trees, you are really helping to extend the life of your boots. Just keep them clean and conditioned/oiled to make sure that the leather doesn't crack and they'll serve you well for a long time.

They're the best shoes I've ever purchased. They were really expensive for me, but they fit great and feel incredible so they were well worth it. I'd like to add a pair of Philip IIs in the near future.

The Phillips II would really make a great addition, if not the best, I really can’t think of any better cap toe Oxford out there.

Phillip II's are great shoes. The color options are pretty good too. When I bought my City II's I was torn between the two. I was looking for a formal wear oxford. Others may disagree, but a formal oxford has to be black, and cannot have any brogue work. The brogue on the cap toe bumped the Phillip II off my black tie standard, so I went with the City II.

I still plan to get the Phillip II, but probably in brown museum calf.

Well, I've got to say that you guys pointed me in the right direction.

Absolutely love both my C&J boots.

Considering doing a MTO Islay in possibly non grained leather in a medium brown. If that's possible.

If your starting to lcontemplate MTOs with C&J I think I would start considering other options as well. Such as Edward Green and G&G. Granted the cost will still be greater but the options significantly increase as well. It may mean less with regards to quantity but the the other benefits or increases were well worth it to me.

I absolutely want a pair of EG Galways. Feel like I need them after reading this thread for so long.

Going to wait for the new season colors and then possibly do a MTO if I don't like what they have.

That is the plan right now. Take super care of them and rotate. I really like these boots, but I am not used to spending this kind of money on footwear. I hope to keep these in super shape.

And I can now rotate instead of beating one pair into the ground.

The guy I dealt with was great and gave me a bunch of cleaning stuff at no cost. I am going to get regular with it. And yeah, they each have their own shoe tree. So I am starting on the right foot!!! Pun intended.

Me too Dan. I am definitely more a boot guy, than a shoe guy.

Love how all the shoes in this thread look, just not on me. Besides, I can use the extra inch I get from my boots.

Those brown ones on the left and the black ones look like AE Higgins Mills?

If that's what they are, I have the same brown ones. They are rough, but have been incredible comfortable as they've broken in.

I need to get some shoe trees since I got my vibergs, I normally wear my boots and beat them into the ground.

I now have a nice rotation 2 pairs of vibergs 1 pair of wolverine 1000 mile and a pair of cheaney and sons boots, so hopefully I can make them last a while.
