Thiking of buying an Omega

Hey guys !

Quick presentation : I'm nearly 24, I currently own a Blue Z Milgauss and a Breitling 01 43.
I've bought a 16710 last summer that I sold already.

Was thinking of buying an AP 15400 but I'm not quite ready to spend that kind of money, seems too much for what it is.

I've been thinking a lot lately, and this Omega Speedmaster Moonphase, and if I pull the tringer I think I'll buy the SS bracelet too.

What do you guys think of this Speed ?

Omega's new Speedy Moonphase watches are really awesome. Excellent movement and very comfortable to wear. Very easy to change straps around too. If this model is speaking to you, it's a worthwhile pick up in my opinion.

I prefer the classic moonwatch with hesalite crystal but that is a great looking watch.

I might add at some point the classic speed with hesalite to my collection but not at the moment

I love the way they manufactured the moonphase, it's almost magical.

But from my understanding, that's a rather large watch. At least larger than your standard moonwatch.

It's beautiful. Lots of watch, for sure.

Get it. It’s a beautiful watch and that moon phase complication is great and really useful too. I would’ve bought it if it was smaller. It’s too big for my wrist.

Well I have a 6.7 inches wrist but last time I tried a YM II and it wasn't too big for my wrist.
But yeah I must try it on !
From what I've heard, it doesn't wear that big

These are also fairly thick watches too not just large in case size.

Looks great to me. But they are a bit thick. I am squarely in the manual wind speedy camp. Hesalite/Manual is the classic speedy.

A FOIS is a great compromise. Newer model, manual wind, sapphire crystal and solid back. The lugs are sexy and the proportions are just spot on in my opinion. They can be had in the $4000 range pretty easily.

AP has zero on Omega, zip. Particularly a moon phase speedy.
