Rolex 6305-1 correct?

Recently got this Rolex 6305-1. Hoping to get some feedback on it as to correctness and condition. I'm not an expert but it seems right to me except maybe for the second hand.

Thanks!

Looks good to me, hand may be clipped. Not usually hard to find full length.
Guilloche dial can’t tell if patina, discoloration from moisture or degrade from original white and could be cleaned. Mine is almost as discolored. M

Looks good to me as well. Wouldn't worry about the second hand for now. Do some research and look for other photos of them...there are lots of good Rolex books...and that should guide you. Only thing that is technically not correct is the Cyclops on the crystal. That came along a little later. But if it helps you see the numbers then I'd say stay with it.

That is a nice looking vintage! If I may as a (stupid) question, about what year is it?

Thanks guys! I was wondering about the crystal. It needs to be swapped out anyway - too many scratches. I've seen movements that are marked 18 jewels and others with 2 - as on this one. Is that because of a date cutoff for manufacturing?

Re: The Cyclops on the crystal - various sources state this was introduced between 1953 and 1955 - so in fact the crystal may be original too? This particular Cyclops even has some "frosting" on it ... interesting.

Also, it appears the dates are all in red as opposed to alternating red and black. I guess normal?

I think the roulette date wheel came out a teensy bit later than '54. My 1952 Oysterdate has an all-red date wheel. Try polishing out the crystal first, with Polywatch -- the results might surprise you.

Beautiful watch! Love 6305-1. Looks like yours is also a no hole model, thus only was designed to be worn on leather straps. and yes, the second hand should be longer

If anyone is keeping track, my serial is 96x,xxx

Here's mine:

The crystal had a crack all the way through as well as other issues so I have replaced it (for a time) with a generic which works fine while I wear it. I have retained the old crystal for reference. It seems a little sloped at the top compared to the flatter new one.

Also as the watch was starting and stopping I took out the movement and found there was some dirt or gunk stuck up against the inside of the balance cock which was catching on the balance wheel. Removed that and now running great.

Here's some pics - one of the movement revealed in case anyone is interested and one with the new crystal.
