Good ole' Bubba.

If you'd asked him real nice, he'd probably have given you a real Corvette too!!!

As ole' SixSpeed76 himself was wispering in my ear when teaching me to drive a stick, "when you here the engine whine put her in ole' 69". See what happened!

Probably not even out of third gear before his hand lost traction and he lost all control.

Seriously... I have a couple friends (yes, amazingly enough) and one has a pristine '57 Vette and the other a '66. The '57 is pretty much original but not show quality. He has the original Rochester carburetion and original wheels and covers stashed but... I remember when he bought it, for a whopping $3500. Up on blocks and largely ignored, he got a steal at the time.

The '66 is absolutely perfect in every way. Canary yellow, stock wheels, covers, 427 w/like 422 posi rear end (lower than 411, don't remember...). Now that's one fast car, always a joy to gallivant around in it.

Though I can never see myself owning one, you gotta admire the Corvette...
