Ladies Datejust Reccomendations and Pictures
Hi Everyone,
I'm new the forum, joined yesterday and have been browsing for a few hours now. Very nice community you got going on over here and I soon hope to be a part of it. My fiance and I have agreed to buy eachother Rolex's. I am still deciding on which model I want. But I do know that I want to buy her a Datejust. Any ladies on here that have any reccomendations as to what they prefer and really like - in terms of dial, bracelet, bezel, TT, SS, WG etc? Any pictures with your watch on your wrist would help as well. Thank you all very much. |

Welcome to the forums! There are a jillion possible choices for a woman's DJ. You'll find lots of the gals here prefer the larger dials - the 26mm Lady DJ is a little small, both in terms of a style trend and for dial readability. I wear a 34mm Date and sometimes wear the 40mm Explorer belonging to my husband. Member Karis (KCMO) wears only men's models and has a 36mm DJ.
Here's mine. And the Explorer II: |

I bought this SS with black MOP dial for my wife. The dial is really stunningly beautiful. The unique thing about MOP is that all MOP dials are different in their appearance. You would not find two identical dials. I recommend that you and your fiance have a look in person. We were lucky to see an identical combination (SS with black MOP) before we purchased this one.

Thanks everyone.
My fiance has a small wrist, so truth is you guys are right - we should try em to see which size fits best. I feel like the Men's 36mm would be way to big for her. Anyways ... I was thinking of maybe an SS Datejust with oyster bracelet, silver jubilee dial (or white), fluted bezel, diamond hour markers. Or maybe a two tone with romans.... Theyre just so much to chose from. I showed her the MOP one time and she didn't like it at all. Keep em coming - everyones feedback really helps! |

Here's a link to all of the possible dial options for Datejust and the other Rolex models. This is from 2007. Might help with your decision. Also, take your time and try on lots and lots of styles. Dial readability was a biggie with me - I had a lovely two-tone lady DJ but sadly could barely tell the time with it! So I sold it for a bigger, clearer dial.

I bought a pre owned midsize TT datejust for my wife.
It appears that the midsize might be the new ladies size. Certainly, when comparing the standard ladies to the midsize the midsize seemed much more impressive and easier to read the time and date. PeterT |
