None of these Women paid one dime for these watches. They were goodie bag give aways by Rolex so they can get the free press out of them and it seems to be working. I work in the entertainment industry I see it all the time. At one time Ford Motor Co. was giving away free Range Rovers to big name celebs so they would be seen driving in them. So next time your about to write that $10,000 check at your local AD for that new Rolex some of your money is going right to poor Perez Hilton and other rich rich rich stars so she/they can have freebe Daytona's to wear.

Maybe I should have renamed the thread to "Females wearing Daytonas"
But its really interesting that out of all the Rolexes, these female celebs were given Daytonas, what is Rolex hinting at? |

Hi,
I think that the Daytona is an ideal Ladies watch, particularly as wristwatches have become much larger in recent years. I also think that a lot of famous people buy their own watches and jewellery for day to day wear (Newman Daytona in one picture). I agree with the OP that it was sad to see Jakes thread locked because there were some fantastic images on that thread and I like to see photographs "in the wild" Regards Mike. |

You're very kinds, Gil, but my mug is all over this forum. Maybe you shouldn't look too hard for more pics, though - because, um, as a matter of fact I DO quite strongly resemble, um, Tara MacPherson. Or is that Elle Reid? Yeah, that's it!

As for the very drawn out and tiresome pics of the girls in Daytonas...there really is nothing like objectifying people to make you more sexually attractive to the opposite sex. Good luck with your fantasy babes guys...I'm sure your wives and girlfriends are really impressed! Jim |

Well, I took a quick look and turns out I was right! Really, a great sense of humor, quick wit, intelligence, and a kind and generous heart are the rarest and most attractive qualities in a person ... to me, that's the definition of sexy, though my wife would ask, "Then why the lingerie?!" In addition to these, real class (without self-superiority or aggrandizement) and the classic feminine qualities really capture interest. Honestly, I have a hard time thinking of any female celebrities that pique my interest ... most of the ones constantly in the news do the exact opposite. Since you are always so nice and generous on here, that was my point in reference to this thread. After seeing the "mug" after my post, looks like the Rolex Forum World got blessed twice! |

I'm pretty sure Lily Allen (UK singer, probably unknown outside the UK) was wearing a "mens" Rolex when she performed at the Glastonbury festival. Don't think she's quite in the league to get given a free one either (though Daddy may have bought it I guess as he's not exactly in poverty!). Couldn't tell which model...could have been a Sub or a GMT.
I wish more women would wear a proper watch. The pathetic dainty little things that most women put on their wrists are awful, including quite a few from Rolex! |
