My AD pulled all the BLROs and put them in the safe, including the one that had been sitting in the case for at least two years with peeling stickers all over. They refuse to discount the BLRO now. Good luck selling them I say.

Assuming everything being identical I would work on getting the new dial and having it switched out by a watchmaker instead of buying an entirely new watch.

I had no idea that this watch was still in production. I thought it was discontinued years ago lol.

I don't really care though. Honestly, it's my least favorite Sub.

I would then go for it. As of now i saw it three times having an intention to buy it and both hue and flatness of blue color just turned me down.

All Rolex models are discontinued and they start to make cars.

I just walked by the Rolex HQ and heard from an open window, how executives were talking about AD strategies for rare cars which will also be discontinued, some even before they start to manufacture them.

This is good news. I think the smurf was the first sub to get the ceramic bezel and they slowly introduced them to the other metals over the years. So maybe new wg sub this year with others to follow.

Blueberry GMT on a Oyster bracelet would be awesome. I generally hate jubilee bracelets but that could because all the ones I've seen are the old style ones which to me, feel like cheap junk. Maybe a newer "super" jubilee might be better as I do like similar style bracelets (like the original IWC 3706 Flieger bracelet)...

Smurf Discontinued

I would definitely consider flipping my LVc for an SS smurf - long as the dial is sunburst blue!

I know, ain’t happening but one could wish!

I hope he enjoys having those BLRO sit and collect dust. They are not exactly stainless steel Subs.

Well said Neil!!! You’re sorted either way with that beauty of a YG sub you have!

I’m sure most of us are familiar with Tim Mosso from Govberg. Very interesting perspective.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure about the flat vs. sunburst. But after several days of wearing, I live how it looks against the wg.

Me too. That combined with how the blue changes color in different lighting conditions: going from light/smurf blue in daylight, to a very dark navy (almost black) in the evening to incandescent light. And I LIKE the consistency between the bezel and the face.

Most of the rumours he got from us. Would like to see a chrono rival Le Mans to the Daytona, just something to cut into the mania.
