Another car analogy
As a car dealer I find myself not liking certain new vehicles as they are redesigned only to have them grow on me. After reading a lot of comments on here I find others as well as myself doing the same with Rolex.

I totally agree!! I I initially didnt care at all for the hulk then it really grew on me and now I LOVE it!!

i agree it happens to me regularly. I didn't like the idea of colored bezels, all of a sudden, I'm trying to see if I can get on a list for a BLNR

Yep, human nature. It works on you even if you know how it works. For example, the Placebo Effect in medicine works even if the patient knows he is being given a sugar pill. This is well-documented. Weird how the mind works.

Every decade, it takes almost 10 years for the newest S Class mercedes to grow on me. Luckily that makes them far more attainable.... same with most Rolex...

Same here. When I first got into this hobby, I didn’t care for the Explorer 1. I thought it was boring and I didn’t care for the 3, 6, and 9.
Now, it’s at the top of my list for my first Rolex that I’ll buy within the next couple of years. Then others, I’ve liked from the day I saw them, and even more so after trying them on. Not sure I’ll ever buy this one, but I absolutely love it... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
