Thoughts on Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue

Gotta say this quirky watch is growing on me. I know it’s a bit thick but still like it a lot. Any comments from owners and pictures would be appreciated.

It’s not quirky at all. It’s a beautiful piece and gets more attention than most of my pieces! Get it.

Not quirky at all. Great watch. Wears great and very versatile. The included strap is awesome. Throw a cyclops on it, a la Monte Carlo and it is wonderful.

I've got one and it's a beautiful watch and a great value, but it's not something I would have as an only watch or even in a 2-3 watch collection. It's a chunky piece and the Tudor bracelet doesn't taper the way a Rolex oyster bracelet does, and I don't find the bracelet very comfortable. I love it on the blue and white NATO strap it comes with, but that's a very casual summer look. As a watch for a casual summer look, it's an absolute knockout on the NATO strap and as SHM3 noted, it's gets a ton of attention and comments. There seems to be really good deals on used examples posted in the classifieds here.

It's a good watch. I prefer the grey, though, for a few reasons. Just add a cyclops for better dial balance and as a nod to the original.

I took one in on a trade and wasn't a fan. I didn't like the wear characteristics and the dial ended up being too busy for my tastes.

Adam and I have the same (including cyclops) and I certainly agree with his sentiments. The THC is loaded with usefull features. The dial is highly detailed yet extremely easy to read. Mine has run a consistent +4 sec per day since purchased in 2011.

The blue version is very attractive and nice to have 3 different dial options. Plus, it’s the watch that put Tudor back on the map.

Hi Dan, you also added the date cyclops to the crystal. I love it. I just picked up an used 70330b and would like to do the same. Can you recommend a US watch shop to do it?

I have owned the Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue several times and while I like the watch it has never stuck in the collection. I am looking for Tudor to upgrade the movement to the in-house one and I will probably be back.

I agree with most all said here. I’ve had mine for a few months now, and really enjoy it. Love the layout and legibility, it’s very versatile ...I put mine on leather.

Have owned mine for about 18 months and it’s my go to holiday watch.

Feature wise can’t fault it for value - date, chrono and 12 hr GMT on the bezel and the 150m water resist.

Agreed it’s a bit heavy especially when I compare with the titanium pelagos, but with the bright dial it’s just a great looking watch too.

It's a great watch, one that I considered purchasing myself. What stopped me was the following:

1. Case thickness
2. Ability to service chronograph module.

#2 was really the deal breaker for me, as with many used pieces they will eventually need a service. I believe I read somewhere that the DD module isn't really able to be repaired and therefore had to be entirely replaced should it stopped working correctly.

Love mine. I think it takes a variety of straps well. The font on the date and the contrast between white and blue on the seconds sub dial are particularly pleasing. My only complaint is case thickness and screw down pushers.

It's my go to fun / quirky watch.

I think the Heritage Chrono, whether black or blue, is probably the best looking sport watch Rolex/Tudor makes. Really nice!

I sourced a grey one from Malaysia when they first came out , before they had returned to the US market. Only watch I’ve ever had that started conversations with two total strangers who noticed it and wanted to know how I got it. Sold it to fund something else but still one of my favorites to have owned.
