Can you share with us the story of how you got it? How long you had to wait? Were you on a list at your AD and did you have to prepaid. Etc.

Thanks.
I cannot get a daytona C from my ad...simply because they do not carry Rolex and I have never bought any rolex watches before from any AD.

There is one out of state AD helped me and I waited for 3 months, with 20% percent deposit down pay. I cannot share this AD's name though.

Thank you for the feedback...... I understand, I was not expecting the AD’s name. Just wanted to know the steps you took. I’m about to start a similar process to try to be able to get one.

So I initially asked for white dial and was told will be another 1 year of waiting.
But black dial is ready for pick up.
I payed for the black one and thought maybe trade it for white one with some more cash...
But when I unbox this daytona, I can never let it go. I like it sooooooooooooooooo much.
I have not seen a white dial in real yet, maybe some time later I will have a chance to see or get one.
And I know we have more fans in this forum of the white dial for daytona C than black.
So thanks to you guys of being fan of black dials, as I am also being right now!

Good luck.
Just call some ADs out of state and target for those who are willing to take deposit down pays.

If one takes your deposit and generates the receipt for you, you know ur order is on the way. It will be some time wait, which makes you like your watch more when you get it on hand.

Congrats!! I was so luck to scored one only five months after the Basel World last year!! I wanted the white dial at first but couldn't choose but now I'm glad I went with black because it's classy and timeless. Good choice!

Keep it. Why? It goes well with everything you wear. Also, it's MORE rare than the white one. Go against the popularity...and true collectors will want the black to add in their collection.

LIke you said, sell it and source a white one. I see plenty of white one for sale on the forum.

Congrats. But, why are these watches so hard to get right now? I get supply and demand, but it seems a bit crazy.
