What are your thoughts on this Exp 2/Sub customization and the new Rolex box?

This watch says it is an Explorer II. It has the Explorer II hand set. But it has a Submariner dial. It has an old style clasp and bracelet. And then it has a new Rolex box that's only been out for a couple or few years.

What would you call this watch? I am stumped! Cheers everyone.

Here it is for your expert examinations and opinions. Weird Submariner/Explorer 2 combo watch with new style Rolex box

I think it's absolutely awful seen as you've asked in your thread subject line.

As for what I'd call it, Adam above has a pretty reasonable description. It's a franken watch of the ugliest kind if you ask me.

Whoa! I was not expecting that. Do people actually buy these things? And for 10k?

I witnessed something like this on a Celebrity X cruise last year. God awful! The sales person was trying to pawn it off as a 100% authentic Rolex. Apparently all the Rolex pieces they had (8-12) were allegedly from a source in Chicago.

That is just horrible. Someone will buy it I expect, as a fool and his money are soon parted.
