My answer is Speedmaster.

May as well move this thread to the Omega section now.

The Omega speedmaster is the only chrono I would ever wear. It looks amazing on the bracelet and any strap you put on it. It is simply the perfect watch.

Ok, before you burn your eyes and choke on your Grand Vin de Château Latour, consider this as an additional piece to your collection.

It may be awhile before the most desirable investment level watch becomes affordable/available, but as one who has a large collection of watches, sometimes it's fun to have a beater watch that is readily available:
a) inexpensive ($109)
b) looks great.... have to admit that the SS/white dial/gold accents look good.
c) has a mineral glass crystal - won't easily scratch and you won't lose sleep if it does.
d) happens to keep accurate time and has working chronograph functions (assuming your eye sight is good enough to even see the tiny hash marks.)
e) company has been around for awhile...takes a lickin' and keeps tickin'

Just saying until the Speedy or Daytona arise....

Speedmaster is the obvious choice at that price range but the Tudor Black Bay Chrono is quite nice too.

The Speedmaster is great but also take a look at the Breguet Type XX. Classic elegance!

How about a speedmaster with a slight twist . Speedmaster MKII racing & for the price point amazing value , models made from 68- 74 so ticks the vintage box & with same calibre as the moonwatch with a hint of raciness

Speedmaster.
It is the classic chronograph. One of the only true classics. Still as relavent today as it was in 1957.
Everyone should own it at least once.

One more shout for the Speedmaster.
The fact that, even among a group of die-hard Rolex fans, the Speedmaster gets this kind of appreciation- bordering on reverence - tells you all you need to know.
In the world of watches, perhaps only the Submariner is a more iconic model and that isn't just down to chance or fashion or marketing.
I know that some people don't "get" it but those who do really "get" it.

The Omega Speed Master is a classic and can be had in many sizes and dial configurations. The second choice would be the Tag Heuer Autavia. Both watches look great on metal and leather and NATO.
