Real, or fake?

I managed to get this watch, i don't think the guy even looked at the name of the watch.

I just don't have a clue if its real or not, I'm going to head to a jeweler tomorrow for an opinion. My take is that its a replica, because one (1) link toward the top appears that the gold is gone, or wore off. Though the rest of the band, inside and out is in perfect shape. Looks genuine.

(i hope this is the right topic)

You may not have to go to far. Do you know what the serial number starts with? Plenty of experts here and you have some great pictures to begin some research...

The serial number will be on the case, you will have to remove the band (bracelet) and it is located on the 6 o'clock side. On the other side of the case (12 o'clock) you will have the model number.

First thing I see is that the bracelet marking, 62523h 18, should be an 18 K bracelet but from the picture, it seems as it may be steel versus gold.

The number P11, would denote a manufactured date of November 1991.

Where did you purchase the watch?

Give us some info and we will try to guide you in the right direction...

Could you also snap a picture of the face?

Yeah, I'm thinking it is a fake. But, I'd want to know for sure before i do anything with it. I don't have a way to get the bracelet off, but from what i can see from the crack and a flash lite, i see no marking. But i can't say for sure, because it would be hard to see if anything in that position.

I can get more pics of the face, would there be a way to tell if i can get the backing off the watch, or is that a bad idea?

100% fake from the dial, case stampings, band/endlink stampings etc.

Do you think i should take it to a jeweler or anything for sure, in person? Or is there something that you see thats just obvious?

Are fake rolexes like this, worth anything, other than scraps or a backup watch?
