Great how to...I did an entire case and bracelet on a sub I once owned. That watch got more compliments on any rolex I have ever owned.

Wow! Normally I'd say NO!, don't do that! But this was a very well executed touch up. I WOULD NOT recommend this to anyone who is even a touch less experienced with refinishing than this guy.

SDWatch did a very good job of maintaining the flatness on the sides of the professional case, however I am interested in seeing if the line finish on the top of the lugs was untouched.

You can EASILY put them back in with the scotch brite pad. I just did mine.

I cannot stress enough how little I actually polished the case...when I get a break from the Chargers game, I'll try taking some better pics of the case in the natural daylight outside. The edges of the case were untouched...I just lightly brushed the sides of the case with the dremel wheel. The case nor the polishing wheel ever got warm or hot...I'd equate it to rubbing with cape cod cloths for 10 minutes or so. I didn't get in there and really grind at all. Wish I had a video cam so I could put the process up on youtube.

I've used the Scotch Brite trick a couple of times on a couple of links. One thing I would recommend that you do after you have finished your treatment is to wash your bracelet thoroughly using the JJ approved soap, water and toothbrush technique.

That just keeps any possible metallic particles away from your links as well as your wrist.

To answer the question above, I used the felt wheels for polishing but didn't really use the cotton wheel this time...used the cape cods instead.
