Rolex as Investments?

Just wondering if a seperate 'Topic Box' is required, solely
for the discussion of Rolexes as commodities for investment?
The subject, whilst mildly interesting, seems to be causing a
little, perhaps, unnecessary friction.

Perhaps we could let those that want to, sit in
a seperate room and count their gold.

not necessary imo. on topic though just buy the stock market or 50 rolex and we will see in any long term frame the market is an investment while Rolex is not as much.

both will go up in value.

these threads although tiresome prove many users cannot use google correctly to figure it out or are lazy.

I rather enjoy the comedy since so few people seem to be able to distinguish between an investment and speculation, ie., bitcoin.

I support the idea of moving the speculators into their own sub-category.

I agree as well. So much conversation about buying, selling, appreciation and investing.
Sounds more like a stock market than a wristwatch forum.

Yeah. I say banish the future speculation talk to a separate sub-thread.

Think they should stay for now.You can still ignore them if you want to, and some have been really amusing, (unintentionally), to me on days that I needed a laugh. If they reach a critical mass of say 70% of what is posted, then I could see thinking about moving them. But then again, numbers may indicate what people here have an overriding interest in discussing.

Yea maybe a separate topic for price/money/investment posts - while I find many humerus, they do take a little bit of fun away from the hobby.
