Relume

The watch is supposed to be an all original. I'm trying to see if this is a relume. Thanks for the hell help.

I’m no expert in these 1675s but that does not look “factory” to me...

Mk1-dials can sometimes be very sloppy. Show us a pic of the whole dial.

Lume would be expected to glow briefly and fade off.

Idk but it really doesn't glow any or it's very faint.

Not very sharp pics. Does it glow? Same as the hands? Fade quickly? How is the texture of the lume? I wouldn’t be able to say without having it in my hands.

Photos are not good enough. These can be sloppy and legit, and some can glow briefly and be legit.

Here is an untouched 2.3 series for comparison. I do believe in the long e series some of then lume tended to be puffier. Not sure whether it was sloppy.

Thanks for the comments. I'm think the guy would have disclosed as he is a big vintage guy. I'm a horrible photographer.

While the lume on the 12 marker looks like original lume, it might have been touched up on the bottom left side - it's hard to tell based on the photos.

I'm not sure if the lume has been touched, but it looks like the original dial has corroded near the lume. I would guess, original lume, that has corroded the dial.

Thanks for all the comments. I wonder what I should have paid for one like this. or a range. I know after the fact was dumb. Live and you learn. I know hard to give without seeing. I have tried to match price but there all over the place.

I have the relume dial just same as yours. I knew that kind of texture. People hardly to spot or understand until you actually own it.

Not sure what you mean, the waffle texture on Mark 1's after around the 1.8m serial is normal for original dials.

"this kind of texture" can be made or added. are you sure that the texture of 12olock lume is the same as the texture of series 1.8m around? where are the small holes looks like the surface of the moon? I cannot see any.

Of all the pics you posted there is only one that is helpful, and just barely at that. Do you see the later pic that shows a cross-hatched pattern in the lume? The presence of that pattern could indicate that the lume is original, but you'd have to post much better, clearly focused macro shots (from various angles) of the dial and hour plots for us (or me, at least) to make a substantive opinion.

Looks good to me. Lume smudging due to age is pretty normal.
