Its too bad the dont offer diamond dials on the domed SS model. I would love a black diamond dial domed bezel DJ41.
They should offer the domed one with WG bezel as well as it shines a bit more than SS &
would offer Rolex the excuse to integrate a diamond dial.
The WG fluted bezel is very nice, just to dressy.

I would prefer the dj41 over the dj2. I would have the dj41 in the black or blue dial with the smooth bezel and jubilee bracelet. For you, go with whatever looks the best on you.

I was like most on here thinking the DJII was a mistake but when putting it on, is wnen I changed my mind. I bought the silver dial with diamonds and so the batons weren't in play for me.
The DJ41 seems thinner but better proportioned than the DJII but I love the robust size. My two cents.

Looking at those two pics I like the DJII better, however I think the smaller DJ41 fits your wrist a little better. I would go with that over the DJ36 which I think will look slightly small on you.

I love my dj2 but had a bit of a shock when i tried the same spec watch but on a 36mm,,, i must admit it looked so lovely and with my 7in wrist didnt seem small at all,,,
its chucked a bit of a "spanner in the works" in all honesty and was thinking more about that then the ltd Tudor bb green i had just collected,,,,
same spec 36mm on oyster seems to wear larger then our 16013,,,,,

The DJ regardless of model is still “iconic Rolex” and timeless. The sports models get all the attention but there isn’t anything that replaces the iconic DJ Rolex look.

I honestly think the DJ41 just looks better than the DJ2. The proportions of the watch are just better. However I think the difference isn't a huge as it is with the DD40 compared to the DD2. The bezels on the DD2 are monstrous. I still like the platinum DD2s but can't say the same for the others.

The reason they wouldn't do this is the same reason the center links on the SS/WG models are steel. The color is just too similar when polished to justify doing it.

I think you should go with DJ41 in your case. DJ36 will be too small. DJII although very good design looks little big for your wrist unless you want to rock with half sleeves, I would avoid it. DJ41 is classic but it is full sleeve watch for me.

DJII = Half Sleeve and sportier
DJ41 = Full Sleeve and sometimes casual
DJ36 = Strictly Full Sleeve affair!!

Don't forget about the 3235 movement!!! The 70 hour power reserve is a big deal. It's really about an extra day. That alone would eliminate the DJ2 from consideration for me. However, the DJ2 can be had for really good prices right now compared to the 41. While I've seen prices creep up here and there recently, there are so many in the $6-7.5k range.

The DJ2 is modern and bold and beautiful. The DJ41 is traditional and beautiful. Most people fall into one of these preferences.

Its simple. The DJ2 is a chunky watch with a big bezel and big markers. This is more of a statement watch. The DJ41 is a subtle watch in line with what date just was all about in the first place. The only thing Rolex have done wrong with DJ41 and this may be rectified in 5 - 10 years and make it 40mm in line with DD40. It is all good they are in their own right great watches, depends on what type of wearer you are.
