and if so, who cares.
Rolex makes probably 15.000 or more GV's per year.
So if they discontinue it after 5 years ... 75.000 watches isn't rare :-)

75,000 isn't much by any means. They make many more Daytonas and they are 'rare'. Once discontinued (IF EVER) within 2 years, they will obviously appreciate. But no one knows for sure.

As of right now, buy it only if you like it. If you want to invest in something to make money, try the stock market.. prices are at an all time low.

I think that the GV is turning out to be a popular watch..

As long as they are selling, I don't see any evidence that Rolex would discontinue the model..

I've heard no reports of Rolex discontinuing the GV...it's just speculation by a few individuals around the forums but there is not a single thread of evidence that Rolex intends to do so.

Exactly, same with the LV, i think they started it with the thought of it being limited, it then started getting a premium and selling well, why stop producing something that's popular and easily sellable?

Sounds resonable, I just ask cuz some one mentioned it and wanted other people's thought on it

An AD told me it was a one year watch.

Then a Rolex Rep told me they will be made from now on.

I tend to believe the Rolex rep.

I do not see why they should discontinue a $500 dollar watch-cost to them
when it makes Mega Bucks for Rolex the importers and the dealers...?

IMHO by saying it's a Anniversary, Limited or Discontinued stuff.
It's sells even greater.
Everyone is jumping into the pool, getting one & hope the prices increased & make a fast one. Now days, they already know our game. I don't think they will discont.

Look what happen to LV, It's was a premium then It's retail. then what ?
LV back to retail price due SD 4000 was discont. Did you see the pattern ?

I think Rolex will continue to keep the collector interest level up by making changes like the 3186, LV dial variations, etc
I have a gut feeling the GV will be discontinued.
