Rolex Bracelet Question ?
Do you adjust the bracelet yourself (removing or adding links if reqd) or do you visit a AD to do it ? If you do it yourself then are there are threads/links instructions to do the same without much stress. Thanks for all replies.

However, if the need arises, I do have the right tools and I've done it before for friends. If you've never done it before, I wouldn't advice you to experiment. You could strip the screw heads. If your bracelet needs resizing, just take it into your watchmaker and he'll fix it in a matter of minutes while you wait. Good luck - JJ

Thanks JJ for your prompt reply. I sized the watch in a warm climate but after returning home to a cooler weather , the bracelet feels tight. I would have thought otherwise though that a bracelet should feel tight in a warmer climate and loose in a colder place, due to body water retention etc. But maybe I am wrong.

What kind of watch is it and how many links have you taken off? Perhaps a picture with a detailed description will allow me to help you. JJ

Taken off just one on the 6oclock side on my new SS Daytona. It is the old bracelet not the new one.

Unfortunately do not have access to my camera right now, but this feature (half link) is fully open. By the way this feature is also avlbl on my new GMT IIC YG bracelet, really handy.

Is the spring-bar on the outermost hole.....which means you have no more room for extension? If so, I suggest you put back that link you removed, close the HALF link and adjust the spring-back back to the innermost hole. I'm sure that will compensate for the addition of the extra link back onto the bracelet. JJ

Actually leave it JJ, i am too wary about scrathing my watch and will not try to do it myself anyway. Will try to visit a AD next week and get it done. BTW where are you originally from, thanks. Parsi by any chance ? I have a lot of friends with family name Irani, who are Zorastrians. Just curious. Thanks for your help.

I couldnt deciper the half link until the time the one link was removed. if I had known how it works there really was no need to remove the link, because as you say the innermost setting would have been sufficient in the first place. Anyway will do as suggested on Monday. Thanks a lot.
