No it is not worth 7k.
You would probably have a very hard time getting your investment back. But then again I'm sure your not the only one who enjoys it. If you want to keep having you 7k do not buy modified Rolex.

I think you are setting yourself up to get ripped off of your hard earned money, and that is my honest opinion. There is no real way to guarantee authenticity of any part on that watch, and just a glance tells me it is a major Franken watch.

Invest in a box of Christmas crackers.

You will probably find a better watch inside.

Good luck!

Only buy stuff like this if you plan on keeping it and don’t care about value retention. Selling modified Rolex is really not easy unless you’re a jeweler that regularly sells customized watches with stones, black coating, etc.

BigBlue1, the dial may be original as was posted in the ebay auction. The bezel and bracelet are totally custom and have no resemblance to any Rolex watch made. The value of the watch is only in the eye of the buyer. Most Rolex buyers look for authentic Rolex watches with all original parts. The category this watch fall under is jokingly called a Frankenwatch. The market is very limited for such pieced together watches but there is such a market. If it is something that you'd truly like then it is a good deal because you're unlikely to find another watch like it. If you decide you want to part with it then it might quickly become a bad deal. The call of its value is really up to you. I hope this helps. At this time it is no longer for sale as I look at the listing.

The auction shows the watch sold yesterday at 9:47 PM, so I guess the issue is moot?

Edit: Previous post pointed it out already. Sorry I didn’t catch it.

As far as value, are you asking if you one sells it down the road would he/she recoup the price paid ? I don’t think there are too many people that would be willing to pay much for this watch.
