I have the baby (40mm) 16570 wrists too small for the newer model, but either way the Explorer II is a fantastic watch and the Polar is a great one, especially if you have mainly dark faced watches (as I do). I think increasing numbers of people are recognizing this as a great watch. Congratulations!

I really liked mine, but I could never get it comfy on my wrist. I don't know if it was the 42mm size, or the easy-link clasp, or whatever. Same with the six digit GMT II.
I'd consider it again, but I'm really loving my five digit Sub Date for now.

Congrats - it is indeed a great watch. I had one for a while and regret flipping it.

Conjures up fond memories of orange creamsicles from my youth.
I think that the Exp2 Polar 42mm embodies the Rolex spirit of adventure of a tool watch without all the superfluous polished bits found on other Rolex models. I love how with the Polar dial, everything seems to visually pop for me. It is a very functional and practical time piece providing the date and the ability to track multiple time zones. I find the watch appropriate for both an outdoor adventure, as well as in the office with a suit. I absolutely love this Rolex model. Congratulations!

Two things that really stand out on that watch:
1. Beautiful white dial - looks very elegant. 2. Orange hand - bold and exciting. Congrats! You own a thing of great beauty. |

Agree completely.
I’ve also recently picked one up. I’ve not worn anything else since. Great styling. Great lume. Incredible legibility. Not my first one. But it’ll be my last. I’m quite confident in that.

It’s a beautiful watch , I think the only reason the watch doesn’t get the same craziness as the other sport watches on the Rolex lineup is the lack of ceramic bezel (Explorer 1 also in this boat). But I think that’s a distinct feature rather than a negative if you ask me .
I miss mine when I look at these pics Cheers 🥂 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lume of that 216570 is the best! Wish they made a 40mm.

I also had the 16570 and sold it.. then recently I saw the 42mm and couldn’t get it out of my head.. so purchased one and definitely feel it’s a spectacular watch..in my rotation and love it!
