Rolex Service

Hi All,

I have a friend looking to service his 1990 datejust 16220. It just stopped working the other day.

Has anyone used https://www.thewatchbuyersgroup.com ?

If he does it through the RSC should he go direct or send it through an AD?

Any other recommendations?

Thanks!

I just had mine sent through an AD.

I will never do that again. Cut out the middleman, and deal with RSC directly.

Call the Dallas or NY RSC and they will give you the directions and also send you a shipping box.

A Rolex RSC will send you an email with instructions and a printable shipping label to send your watch to them.

If your friend is also in Boston, I'd be searching for a local (Boston) Indy that has a long established Rolex repair and parts account history.

I did a quick goo search and would be visiting this enterprise if I were your friend. I have no personal knowledge, but maybe some of our Boston crew could chime in.

Thanks for the help! For now, he's decided to go the RSC route. Still wondering if anyone has used https://www.thewatchbuyersgroup.com though!

I think he made the right call. For a 90's DJ I'd just stick with RSC.

Longs can send it to RSC. They also have 2 rolex certified watch makers on site in Burlington.

I won't do that again either. I went through the dealer and will next time deal directly with RSC. Bad move on my part.
