Anyone been on Harmony of the Seas?

My girlfriend and I leave in 2 days! We go to Jamaica, Haiti (RC’s private island) and Cozumel.

Any suggestions? Besides check out ADs lol

Friend of mine just came back from a trip on that ship. Get reservations to the steak house, asap and check out the central park area... Indoor park or something. Otherwise, have fun! Supposed to be a great ship.

Was on one of the sister ships to it. Don’t recall what one. Good time. If you want the nicer dining options get reservations early as mentioned. And all the stops are tourist traps. Especially Ocho Rios.

We spent a week on it last summer with 11 family members of all ages from 11 to 76. All had a great time. We prefer the larger boats while others like the smaller more exclusive ships. There is more to do on the ship for all ages. Premium dining options can be booked if you like. We’ve done them all. For most the dining room is fine. We do like Chops Grille a lot though.

Enjoy.

I would also definitely recommend getting specialty dining.. it is worth every penny. The main diner is “alright” and the buffet is good for snacking & breakfast. Andddd, don’t buy the drink packages unless you guys are actually going to use your moneys worth - or just get 1 and have someone order 1 drink at a time and save yourself a few hundred :D

Did the same itinerary last fall but on Allure of the Seas. We did eat at Chops but were pretty disappointed with the food and service. The atmosphere was nice though since we were able to dine outside in central park but didn't think it was worth the price we paid for 2 adults and 2 kids.

We didn't get off the boat in Jamaica but I believe the port has an AP, Panerai, IWC, Breitling, JLC, and maybe some others from what I remember seeing from the boat. We really like Haiti and have sat in the same spots each time we've been there. We usually go towards the inner side beaches that are the a decent walk from the port. It fills up quickly though so I would suggest trying to get out there early. Our day in Cozumel last fall had rain so we stayed on the boat. In the past, we've done the excursion to Passion Island and really enjoyed that.

As far as anything on the ship, try eating in the main dining rooms for breakfast. You won't have to sit with anyone else and you can actually be waited on rather than standing in line at the buffet. I'd also recommend buying the alcohol package if you plan on enjoying drinks throughout the trip. It's a lot of money upfront but you'll probably come out ahead at the end. There were plenty of openings throughout our cruise at the specialty restaurants and our boat was full and you can check on your TV and make the reservations on there. If you haven't already, book your show tickets. Even if you're not sure you'll go to them, you're better off having the tickets now than try to get them later.

My wife and I have been on a total of 7 cruise with Royal Caribbean so if you have any other questions, let me know.

Did that trip 2 years ago and it was one of my most enjoyable cruises ship wise. Room upgrades were totally worth it. Stops were just okay. Jamaica did have some nice watch shops including an AP ad that had some really good prices at the time. Even ran into DavidSW on the ship.

We get 100 bucks of on board credit and will possibly book a specialty dinner.

We’ve been to chops before and it’s “alright”. We are just going to play it out! Thanks for the input!

When you get to Haiti (Labadee) stay on the south side of the island. The water is much calmer and easier to access. On the north side there is a gauntlet of rocks to navigate (small but annoying) to get into the water.

I’ve been on her 3 times. The Harmony is an amazing ship and you will never run out of things to see and do. Get to the Port around 10:30am and no later then 11am Sat and that’s the sweet spot. When you board the ship head to Central Park and get a Kimmelwick sandwich from the Central Park Cafe. Most people run to the buffet and don’t know to go to the park cafe so it’s not normally busy. Not sure if your staying in a suite but we normally stay in Crown Loft Suite and the experience is top notch. Labadee is a great stop and the reserved beach for suite guests makes for a nice day. They also have a sunset sail away party on the Helipad when leaving Labadee for suite guests.

Couple suggestions here:

Cozumel. Get out of the tourist shop area and take a cab to a beach club, there are many around. We went to The Money Bar Beach Club and loved it. Got ourselves lounge chairs overlooking the beach. Good food and drinks and snorkeling! http://www.moneybarbeachclub.com/

Jamaica:
We took an all day tour which entailed: Irie Blue hole, Dunn's River Falls, and river tubing. Great Day mon!
