What motivation would Rolex have to discontinue the LVc?
It's in very high demand, is a good seller, it represents the iconic Rolex model - the sub, it represents the official Rolex color, is inexpensive to produce, and has already amortized the majority of the production costs. It's also one of the most recognizable Rolex models in the history of Rolex. Discontinue it?

Thanks for responding, everyone. I'm sorry about the somewhat tedious question. The reason I started this topic is that I'm in the market for my first Rolex and am unsure if I should get a Datejust (with the new movement) or "The Hulk." I first was drawn to the latter watch, but I later changed my mind to the Datejust because I thought the new movement was really important.
Basically, I wanted to know if the green Submariner was something about to be discontinued, in which case I would buy it knowing they wouldn't be available in the near future. I'm still not sure how much the new movement -- the 3235 -- really matters. Sent from my SM-J327V using Tapatalk |

I heard from my cousin’s uncle’s nephew, who once dated an AD’s niece, that there was a possibility that the Hulk would be discontinued... and maybe the BLNR, too!

I think an update eventually.
My guess new movement and back to the black dial like the 50th. One option I would like but won’t happen, comes with bracelet and Oysterflex. |
