What is the difference between pam 250, 196? Was thinking of buying pam 250 until i saw the pam 196. Or should i just get SS gmt2c?

196/250

The 250 has got a brushed bezel, as the rest of the watch, the 196 has got a polished bezel, with the rest of the watch brushed. And if not mistaken de 196 is no longer in production (however could be mistaken)

Thanls niels, i guess its 250 cause it has a brushed bezel. Does Panerai have a good resale value? is it worth it? What can you say about the pam250?

Hey JDH

Most of the Pan’s as any high end watch hold there value pretty good, However its always hard to tell what the watch will do in the future if you want to sell it off, in this case it’s a matter of finding a buyer that is interested in this watch , or what a nutter wants to give for it. So there never really a pure solid investment. Unless you have some pre-vendomes or T-dails or other limited sought after models.

In many cases the 250/196 is considered to busy for a Panerai , due to the 3 sub dials and the engraved bezel, Panerai is mostly valued for its clean and calm appearance, and also I heard some comments on this model as historically not overly correct. Due to it being a chrono.

However that is why people have different tastes and there are different watches with different appearances on the marked, end of the day it’s a Pam , and a valuable watch. As long as you like it, nothing else should matter

Ta,
Niels.
