Sub at home

My sub c in its natural environment in a submarine. While on a tour of HMS Ocelot in Chatham dock yard.

Interesting place the dockyard, my grandad worked there.

Being in the sub is something else, can you imagine being in there on an actual mission, made me feel very claustrophobic. It’s bad enough the lack of space but when you think about being under water at the same time it’s quite freaky.

Did you visit the rope making sheds?

Yes been all around the docks with friends inc ropery lovely day in the sun.
Agreed about being in sub during missions I have a couple of friends who served on subs strange thing is they are both over 6”6’ which is interesting in such a small space. But some of the stories can’t be retold here for obvious security reasons.
