Dubai AP Boutique visit and try ons (pic heavy)

Stopped briefly in the UAE on my way back home from SE Asia a little while ago, and took the chance to swing by the Dubai Mall and visit where else, than the AP Boutique and try on a few gems. Figured I would share the pics and experience !

I sometimes read posts about what should I wear to an AD or boutique etc. I literally rolled in, wearing the t shirt and shorts I’d been wearing /travelling in for the last 24 hours with my Casio on my wrist.

Nevertheless, the absolutely lovely staff member let me try on various pieces even though I said I was just there to browse on that occasion, and even took the concept tourbillon out for me to try on.

Great visit and superb, friendly customer service. I left with a bag full of coffee table book swag to add to my collection which was a super gesture as well.

The biggest aquarium in the world I believe ?! And yes I think that is a great white shark.

The bracelet is simply stunning on ‘the brick’

All in all, a fab visit - and great way to use the flight connection time !

Awesome, thanks for posting that! Can't say what the shark is but it's definitely not a great white as they never ever survive in captivity no matter what steps are taken. So sad that the poor housekeeper vacuuming in the photo can probably only swing a Rolex.

Sounds like a great layover. Some very nice pieces there!

I am slightly surprised at how readily available the PT ROO is - still. As I recall, there were only 50 produced and I think there are still 2-3 in HK AP stores alone, plus Dubai

Thanks for sharing. Very nice. Are the prices for Elephant or Vampire about the same like in other countries?

I am curious too.
How are prices in Dubai boutique compared to that in SG boutique?
Anyone with experience to share?

It’s a fascinating place to visit - my first time there but would quite fancy a long weekend trip some time.

You can even dive in the aquarium which would be quite an experience for a future stay.

I can’t recall the exact prices but they were fairly good, although one would need to check on any duties payable upon return and would vary depending on latest FX rates.

The grey dial ROO is the elephant though, not Pt. The dial just looks a bit smokey due to the light.
