Incoming: Poor Man's 6263

been looking for a while for one of these, not easy to find. Japan only, limited edition release from 2009. box and papers and all at a nice price.

Nice find....though I'm not sure how close this is to a 6263. I think the 35th anniversary Apollo XI looks like a closer fit in that sense. But this one is pretty handsome for sure.

the Apollo XI is nice and I love Speedmasters but the panda dial just doesnt do it for me on the Speedmaster Pro. the registers are too bunched together for the panda to work. this one is, i think 39.8mm, so a bit smaller. perfect size for me. i dont like many watches over 40mm.

It's funny you mention that. I use to feel the same way coming from Daytona. Then I understood sizing on Omega between 42mm and 39.5mm is a matter of Crown guards on professional/fois variants and 42mm Omegas (divers included) fits more like 40mm Rolex (I got small wrists too). It's magical I guess...I did the Mitsukoshi conversion of a spare Speedy Pro and knew I had to have the 35th anniversary one day...Just grew on me. But I liked the way this one works along with the date window.

Good looking watch! I like how dial layout looks, using the space between each subdial and matching date disc nicely.

Great looking watch. I actually think it looks better than any Rolex Daytonas.
