Bought a Seiko-got a Rolex

I was in a thrift store earlier today and noticed that a Seiko watch in the case had an unusual bracelet-I was shocked when the clerk handed it to me and bought it for the outrageous price of $4.99. How'd I do?

You should ask those in the vintage forum.

Bought a Seiko-got a Rolex

I think you did OK there

That’s an oval link RUSA sourced bracelet. Way back when, US tariffs caused Rolex to ship heads to US and RUSA matched them up with domestically made bracelets.

Regardless of the bracelet being real or not, that’s a pretty cool watch for 5 bucks

It looks like a legitimate US oval link jubilee. Based on the pics provided it looks tired and needs a refurb. You can search ebay for price ranges which can vary widely. It should have 22 links not counting end pieces. If it needs links or the end pieces are missing it can get spendy.

A nice one!
