Sorry I wasn't more clear. Cote Bonneville has both the Carriage House and their flagship "Cote Bonneville" (at a little more than twice the price). Meant to ask if you'd had the latter in addition to the Carriage House

It was actually really nice, I'd say a tad bit more fruit and maybe a hair less dry than something like Cakebread; they're selling it undiscounted for $35/bottle so it's on the pricey side but I think it stands up at that price point.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who enjoys Brian Arden Wine!
The Sangiovese is great. My favorite(so far)is their Cabernet Franc. I brought a bottle to the LV GTG and it went over very well!

Our guests brought the Clio and it was fantastic. They have a friend who opened a wine store a few years ago and to generate money she was selling wines from her personal cellar to buy more inventory. Our guests bought a 4 bottle vertical from the owner and we’ve now shared 2 of those bottles with them - both have been excellent full bodied reds. I had to search more about this this region / vineyard and see what grapes go into the blend. It’s a 70% Monastrell (or what we call Mourvèdre) and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon blend. The region is in SE Spain and the authorized grapes for the appellation include:

I agree on the Alexander Valley Cabs. 2005 is a really good year if you can find it, I drank all of mine. I had a bottle of 2012 a couple weeks ago, not quite as good as I remember but who knows as it was a long time ago.

I've been out of the wine thread for a while now, diabetes will do that to ya. Celebrating my sons birthdays tonight at Morton's, their choice (6&11). Had this all to myself, wife can't have any for a while (strict diet). Had a sommelier in training jump at the chance to try it, didn't mind as I didn't want to drink all by myself. Can't wait until the 2003 shows up, until then this was a great bottle, same Kaylee Morgan I had in Barbados last month.

Very good bottle for the price. Michael/David is a great winery. I like their Inkblot Petit Verdot, as well.
