Tudor GMT or new Radiomir base logo?
I cant believe Im considering this. Past history I used to be a Risti 01/112/000/183. They lost me like they lost a ton of people. My favorite was the radiomir and would not have sold it but a used dealer offered me a 16660 for it. So preferring the 210 or better the 232 I always thought Id pick one of those up. However the new base logos are the best lume plot to date, more 201/A than the "sausage dial". I preferred the sausage dial to the sandwich anyday. If the sandwich was even a little like the vintage sandwich then yeah, but they look cheap to me. No offense.
Anyway I was in love with the Tudor GMT but from pics the dial is off to me somehow. On the other hand do I want to go back down the Risti rabbit hole? You know what I mean. |

It’s time to come back.... no collection is complete without a Panerai. And, surely you have a couple lonely straps laying around the house that would like a little attention?

I think a base Radiomir is hard to argue with. I do love what Tudor is doing, but a base Radiomir is a classic. Radiomirs wear smaller than their size and even a 45-47mm piece will fit well into a collection for daily use.

Left Panerai in 2010, and just recently (like a month ago) came back with a older 183. It won’t get as much wrist time as my Rolex Subs, but fits a nice niche as my dress up watch with a black gator strap.

What about functionality? Putting the GMT function aside, the date wheel is pretty useful.
