Icon2 Taro Tanaka's Grammar of Design

If you've ever wondered what this is all about, or never heard of it at all, this is a nice little introductory article from W&W. It's a couple of years old but just popped up again on Watchville recently.

I was reading this the other day. The 44gs case I think is one of the best cases of all time. The way it looks on the wrist is hard to explain, but just looks chunky, angular, sharp and just awesome. If I remember correctly that was the first Grand Seiko case...and to this day the best.

It wasn't the first (it came out in 1967, about seven years after the first GS) but it seems to be the most celebrated, and rightly so.
