GS quality -- can you see any marks on the hands?

Handled a nice GS at a local AD. The hands of the watch seemed to have either finger prints or some other smudges on them. Is that acceptable? The level of the detail essentially sells the watch. Not sure if I want something with blemishes. If you're a GS owner, could you please chime in? What was your experience? Did you have to look at several watches of the same model to select the one?

The hands on both of my GSs are immaculate - and I can assure you that I‘ve thoroughly checked - many times!

no marks on any hands...AT ALL. They are the most immaculately finished hands of any watch I own. I've owned 3.

Hmmm... ok, will keep on looking. It is a pity that the watch I saw had smudges.

On a blog to watch, look for a review of the SBGC001. The reviewer states that when he took the watch out of the box he noticed marks on the hands and he was bummed, but then noticed that the hands were reflecting smudges from the crystal. Maybe that happened to you?

This is a possibility. The polishing on the hands can easily reflect smudges from the crystal.

No issues with my snowflake. The hands are probably the best I've ever seen. The lines are razor sharp.

Sounds very possible.
The hands on my 253 are the shiniest things I’ve ever seen

I have seen quite a few flaws on Rolex's, I have never seen one on a GS.

Negative. My GS has easily the nicest hands I’ve seen on any watch.

If I remember correctly none of my previous GS’s had smudged hands & F&F was perfect in every way.

My SBGW253 has some watermarks on the minute hand. But my SBGA211 Snowflake has immaculate hour and minute hands.

I own both, and this is what I've found.
