Aquanought looked really bad
TTried on new Aquanought after a long long time, Did not pull trigger as it looked far too big on my wrist , in fact my better half said it looked trashy 😢
She did suggest however (as she loves the actual watch design), that i look for a pre owned older version , can anyone help with model numbers years if smaller versions am now thinking around 38mm migh be the biggest i could wear. Am in london next week so i could ask estabished dealers like David Duggan to source one for me? Thoughts Steve |

it was too big but you have a sub
Maybe the chronograph, but the others wear smaller than a sub.

Thanks guys
Yes indeed have a ceramic sub , but for some reason that seems ok, thanks for the chart Seems like pre owned is the way for me to go. 5050 or 5065 most likely. Appreciate the info: |

5065 if you can find one, previous models are not as integrated and dial and strap are not as smooth.

You’ll require the 5065.

My wife wore a 5065, maybe it is good for you too? She changed to Rolex DJ36, needed durability as she wears it 24/7/365.

Aquanought looked really bad
Quote:
Of course it look really bad and trashy because it fake and no such a thing.... Backpack..... Enough of the joke.... Get the latest 5165A-001 that look like the 5167 but it in 38mm...... The problem is, it hard to find... Not the 5065 waffle style....

Get a yellow gold sub. That won't be flashy at all.

The 5065 is 38mm I believe. Both 5060 and 5066 are smaller than that. 5065 and 5066 both have exhibition case backs. 5060--the first Aquanaut--has a solid case back.

The model your looking for is the Aquanaut 5165, as mentioned above.
If you look at the chart Flex368 provided, you see the 5165 at the bottom of year 2007, it appear to be the wrong reference number on that chart though. What makes the 5165 different from the 5167 is that it does not have a luminescent hour mark next the the date at 3 o'clock and its 38mm. Compared to the older reference 5065 the 5165 have a smoother dial and the strap is "merged" towards the watch case (same as 5167). 5165 is definitely a preferable design in my opinion. It's harder to find the 5165 than the 5167, but the price should be slightly less. There are a few listings available now, but the suggested prices are exaggerated. You should be able to find one around $18,000 depending on papers/ box/ condition etc. A year ago I saw one for sale at $14,800 without papers from a reputable secondhand dealer. Good luck :) |

I had my buddy’s fiancé say: “What’s up with the “tire” attached to the watch?” when showing pics of the next watches we wanted.
Everyone is going to have their opinions. Some girls think Michael Kors watches look the best. I think you’ll look fine. |
