Guys,

I traded in my 26320ST towards my 5712, and while I love the 5712, there was something about the ROC that I really miss.

So now I find myself looking at some options in the market, and boy, what the hell happened? Why did they make the counters different size??? They completely removed the elegance these had.

I'm curious though, is it only me? I like the 'contrasting' color options. What I don't like is the strange size.

If I have to get one of the current ones, I'd get the panda white/black or blue/silver. I could find a NIB from the previous ones, I'd probably get the white (silver).

What is your opinion on these and which colors do you like?

I much prefer the new contrasting subdials and dials, and yes at first the smaller subdial did jar with me, as it did on the old VCO, but I'm over that now really, and I do prefer these.

OP, I did agree with you, but over time the current ROC has really grown on me also - and I’m now sorely tempted to get one

I much prefer the 26300 39mm variants and would find one of them if it were me. Panda specifically!

Given the choice between current vs previous my order would be
1. Blue/silver
2. Silver/black
3. Blue (previous gen)
4. Black/silver
5. Silver
6. Black

I really like the contrasting subdials on the current model a lot more than the monotone on the previous model.

I do like the current ROC panda, but not enough to buy one over a blue 15400 (my other choice). The contrasting subs look great but I can't help but see the Mickey Mouse effect. The date placement also throws me off a little bit.

I did question the smaller seconds dial at first, but it really started growing on me. I much prefer the color contrast dials of the new version too. It grew on me so much, I had to buy one.

I used to own this 25860, I like the proportions of the 39mm better than the 41mm.

I have the current panda, really appreciate the iterative improvement with the larger and better visibility chrono subdials. Good balance to the dial overall, they shifted the date to keep good feng shui.

The better dial aside, 41mm in a Royal oak case is a bit big, 39mm might be better for smaller wristed and/or less showy folks. Mine flashes like a disco ball and is hard to miss, big presence. Definitely try it on to get a sense of size, like midway between a traditional RO and ROO in wrist stance.

I feel the same way, I had the 26320 in blue Dial and loved it. When the 26331 came out I initially liked it a lot but on second look the two larger sub dials really annoyed me, for this reason I choose not the get one.

26300 here and better symmetry and better fit for my smaller 6.75 inch wrist

I like the updated size as well as the contrast on the dials. I currently own a Blue 26331ST and it's an awesome piece compared to the previous dials that didn't' do much for me.

the 39mm would be my choice.
the only drawback, for me, are its markers... wish they could've used the same applied versions as those on the 41mm models.

Prefer the new 41mm ROC. The panda dials makes it more interesting and the biggest improvement for me is the chrono pushers can now be activated without unscrewing the push crowns. That makes it possible to instantly activate the chronograph which is not possible in older generations of ROCs.

Some folks here complained that the date window is not centrally aligned between 4 and 5'oclock but it doesn't bother me.
