Well, to be clear...there are many people that don't dislike the TT DJ41 as well. As a matter of fact, I think it has an iconic, classy, and timeless look to it, and from the number I've seen in the wild, to include lookalikes, I think there's quite a few people that agree.

You could just about throw up any watch on TRF and there would be people that dislike it. Sub-C? Oh my goodness, look at those awful lugs. Daytona? Oh it's too small and it doesn't have a date. The new Pepsi? Oh the colors are terrible and it's on a jubilee bracelet, for goodness sake. A proper sports watch has to be on an oyster bracelet. The new SD43? Oh my, it has a cyclops...the horror.

And on and on. If you're looking for a watch that people don't dislike, you'll be looking for a loooooooong time, my friend.

It’s the most versatile of all the Rolex watches; from boardroom to fishing.

IMO I love gold and TT. I totally get that’s some people don’t. I also think it looks better on some wrists than others. I am very glad that many people don’t prefer them and there isn’t a TT shortage :)

I personally can't wait to buy a TT, its what I've always wanted. I didn't even know it was a "thing" to not like them, until I saw it on here, so yeah, don't listen to what others like or don't like. Get the one YOU want.

Datejust and particularly TT datejusts look like a grandad watch to me(I am 43) I think they look great on an elderly man but out of place on somebody younger.

My dad is 72 and it's the watch that he wants to buy. I know it will really suit him, a day date would be nicer but he would moan about the weight of it.

The wife just got me a TT DJ41 Jubilee/Champagne/Fluted for my 40th.

I could have swapped it for anything that wasn't solid gold, but I did not. I LOVE the look.
It's what I'd have picked if I was there to choose.

I am a fan of gold. :) I'll get a rose gold DD when I get really old!

I guess I'm lucky I don't like stainless sport models? Makes life easier!

Buy what you like and disregard the nonsense your friends are telling you. I got this one last year for my 50th. The DJ looks great in TT!

We are all entitled to our opinion, but I don't think this looks horrible or fake!

The price is simply determined by supply and demand.

To the OP, the like or dislike depends on fashion. Just buy what you like.

That isn’t what I meant - we all get the economics.

The confusion is Why people dislike the TT vs. SS

I never particularly liked TT Rolexs, until I did. And now I do. So what? It's your life, your money and your watch. Buy what you want, not what other people tell you to want. What do they know?
