Rolex SS/Platinum YM help!
Hi there, do you know why YM SS/Plat is popular?
Any reason why would someone choose it these days and does anyone know which celebrities wear this watch? cheers

There seems to be mixed feelings here about this particular model. IMO, it's a little bling without being too blingy and is complementary as a sports or dress watch. I wear mine with shorts, jeans, and suits. Then again, Rolex goes well with just about anything.

SS/Plat is popular because it can be worn with a suit & yet be casual. It also has a unique case & bezel. The bezel is paltinum as is the dial. PLus, the way it is designed, it can hold it's own with larger watches. Celebrities that wear them are:

I would LOVE a Platty BUT I am holding out till they change the bracelet
(assuming they do). That bracelet is fine for my SD but with the price jump of a Platty and all I expect a bit of a better clasp... My luck they wont change that till they put it in a new case (like they are doing with all sports watches it seems) and I doubt Id like the update...
