Yeah, with running, I can see that the heat and humidity are not your friends.

I have some family in Ochten, but haven't seen them in years.

I need to find some kind of physical activity that's fun. Never a big fan of running. And my lungs wouldn't like it either lol

Running isn't for everyone and if you're not already in good shape then it is the least fun way to get fit.

Since you drive motorcycles, wouldn't cycling be fun for you?

Yes it would, but husband couldn't join me as he can't take another hit to his head, too risky.
He just signed up for marshal arts..

I’m loving my Everose SS YM - it’s 37 mm and I feel very comfortable; I love the rotating bezel - I find myself timing so many things ! From cooking to dog walking etc.
The new OP I think is a nice midsize - not blingy at all and nice dial colours.
You can always dress a watch up by wearing a diamond bracelet with it !
Thank you kindly for the advices!!

I'll really need to take a visit to a local AD to try the numerous sizes to see what is comfortable and not comfortable for my wrist.

I'm pretty petite and my wrists are probably about 6" if that?

I'm in no rush since I want to get the perfect one for moi

I’ll be honest - I wish my SS/RG -DJ was around 34-36. I bought the 41mm cuz my eyes couldn’t read the 28 (only other offering for that style). My wrist is 6.25” and as I lose weight the watch is starting to look like a ‘dinner plate’ - as the haters of women wearing men’s watches would say!! Haha

Student service project to honor 9/11. Stream of cars going /went on this school’s campus to take pics of K-12 student tribute. Flags numbered those who perished on that day.

Same thing happening in Ontario;
There are still some lingering warm days .. in between increasingly longer stretches of cool rainy days ;
I love cool fall weather and have had enough of summertime heat !.... but maybe that’s due to a considerable amount of time spent in Orlando this summer LOL!

This must have had an impact on those students involved- to place a physical reminder of every soul lost ...
I’ll never forget that day .

I found out in Spring 2017 that I had acute kidney failure. WHAT??

I have stage 4 of 5. Stage 5 is dialysis OR transplant.
Moral - enjoy your good health everyday!
Weight loss is the BEST thing I can do at this point so as not to become pre-diabetic or get high BP.

Besides ... this forum is so much more entertaining than Weight Watcher’s one.
Lost 4# last week - time for more shoes SG - haha!

That is pretty serious!
Would this be diet/lifestyle related?

Past meds related!
Not even supposed to take aspirin these days...
So I’m receiving Botox injections to minimize migraines
That & yoga have done wonders ... along with an occasional massage.

Staying @ stage 4 is best WITH diet / lifestyle changes. 6 mos. to yearly monitoring
Thanks, Bas

My Dad had to be on some serious heart meds- that the doctors knew would have serious effects on his kidneys; he did need dialysis after a couple of years of heart treatment. He then had to cope with double trouble- heart and kidneys for a couple more years before finally passing.
Has me wondering if it was all worth it ..? His quality of life was poor for the last 4 years of his life ...

Here’s a shoutout to Bas- a Rolex question!
Their white gold - does it need rhodium plating after a while ,, or does Rolex have a magic formula to keep their white gold white? ( like how they can keep their rose gold rose?)
Any thoughts Bas?

Congratulations on the weight loss.

I still haven't attempted the 10# that i want to lose. Too many birthdays :)

Sorry to hear about your kidney and my best wishes.

I get really bad migraines and the pills do wonders. Maxalt, relpax, imitrex, whatever is there.

For me, this is the year of the tooth.

I'm having major tooth issues.

Got some bone grafts at the beginning of the year, to prep for implants.
Then out of nowhere, about two months ago, my front tooth breaks, at the root. More bone grafts, more wisdom teeth extractions.

got the bottom implants. great.

The night before, i ate one of my favorite candies (chimes ginger chews) while laying down.

the candy slipped and i accidentally bit on it. Bad pain. Baaaad.

So for about a month, i'd hurt it, had to take a pill immediately, then it would go away. then it was good for about a month, then last week wednesday, i hurt it with a piece of biscotti and i've been in pain ever since.

went to see my dentist on friday. with some magic powder and magic lights, she saw that i broke both those teeth on the candy.

open access to the nerve, yay.

she tried to "jb weld" them together, but the pain is still bad.

So, i'm off to the endodontist to see if he has to kill both teeth. fun. crowns to be...

So far with just the three implants and bone grafts, i have more than a daytona in my lower jaw. no crowns yet

Sorry about the rant. this getting old is no fun.

Their white gold is mixed with palladium to create a white alloy. Rolex white gold is never rhodium plated. It does however turn slightly grey-ish over time.
