New SD 50th anniversary editions still available?

Called around a few months ago and put my name on a list. Want to buy a new one but, maybe I missed my window to purchase a new one?

Are these still available new at an AD?

Thanks,

Yup. Mark Goldberg, a YouTuber that covers watches, just bought a brand new SD43 from his local AD (with the Mark II dial)

Should be available. Some have said they get them after a few weeks at some ADs. Be sure to try one on before purchase. Several people here couldn't get comfortable wearing it do to the weight and/or fit. It's definitely different than a standard 40mm Sub.

Good point. I wear a Z serial Sea dweller and M Pepsi GMT. They are smaller. Hoping to find one to try.

Thanks

not super rare on chrono24, although less ubiquitous than the Sub date, as expected:

Units reference
340 116610LNs
310 116610LVs
242 126600
179 116500LN white dial
101 116500LN black dial

They should have kept the red text for just the anniversary year and continued the rest of the production with all white text

why? the sea dweller is actually popular now for whatever reason so why mess with it? They want to sell watches, not preserve collectability of watches they already sold

I suppose you can sort of point to the MK1 dial as differentiation vs ones that come later. Not that its probably going to matter

They're available. Just hard to find at an AD like every other SS sport model these days.

Thanks folks. I was surprised that none had called back yet. I left my name with some local dealers and maybe I need to expand my search.

IMO its one of the more attainable hot watches. Good luck

My local AD just received a SD43 on a shipment last week - they showed it to me in the shipping coffin. MKI dial

which means the different dial is more like a random switch, rather than someone said the mark i dial signifies the true anniversary year.
